Irish road safety video... RSA and Gaybo be ashamed

Do you ever get fed-up with those silly, nonsensical "road safety" advertisements the authorities transmit through RTE?

I know I do.  Surely they'd be better off instructing people how to drive rather than trying to be poor-people's Steven Spielbergs, with their film shorts of cars somersaulting and flattening kids on swings and the like?

How to use motorway lanes, for instance?  How to use a fucking roundabout?  What those orange lights on the corners of their cars are for?

I've been out and about in the fair hills of Wickla putting together my own road safety effort... watch and be enlightened!

PS, before anyone rings Joe Duffy - no speed limits were broken in the making of this video.

Zuffenhausen's best combined with UK Subs ... not yer typical Oirish afternoon drive ... good.

HI GM, love the vid and the sound track, well the UK Subs bit anyway! Spot on about those road safety adverts... mind they have started a radio advert now, instructing people how to drive on a motorway. You know leave the overtaking lane when you have overtaken and don't be hogging it. Long overdue.

That was gooood GM. Ouu ya rebel, six hail marys and our father for you.
GM problem with driving in Dublin is too many bitches and bastards, for safety and harmonious driving. You wont hear that on any RSA ad.The Irish don't do truth.

Thanks Ella. I love Van the Man's contribution too (van Beethoven). Glad to hear they are belatedly telling Paddy and Mary what motorway lanes are for.

Cheers DC3, my man. Amazing what a bit of speeding up footage in Corel VideoPro can do... thought I'd go completely OTT for the sake of parody.

The clips are from two different years and locations though, as when we got up past the Sally Gap we realised the dashcam battery was flat and the charger was knackered, and I'd no time to go back up there and re-do it - much as I like driving around the hills.

Driving around Dublin though, is quite another matter... as your rightly aver to.

Couldn't we just disinter Garth from the last post and get him to do a version of "On the Road Again, just can't wait to be on the road again la la la la la" Is there no end to the bollox of the lands of S&S?

He got up to a fair old speed there with the handbrake on all the same. (1:27).

Yes... good spot, mate.

I'm beginning to smell something fraudulent going on here!
